The G36 supports both GPRS and 3G data connections. To use the G36 for data, you must first have the relevant service activated on the SIM card by your network provider.

Installing the G36 as a modem

Download the Vista-specific drivers from HERE

Save the ZIP file to the Vista and PC and extract the contents.
Connect the G36 to the PC. Windows will detect the new hardware automatically:

You will need to run through this procedure a second time as the G3x will be recognised by Windows as two pieces of hardware, follow the same procedure.

Once complete, you can verify that the new hardware is installed correctly by launching the Device Manager (Control Panel --> System --> Hardware), you should see 2 entries for the Ericsson device:

If you are not prompted to install the second piece of hardware, or you can see the device listed in the Device Manager with an exclamation mark on it, right click on the entry for the device and select the option to Update Driver. Then follow the above procedure to install the correct driver manually.
