Release 2.0 of the BlackBerry PlayBook operating system brings with it a native email client with support for Exchange ActiveSync email accounts, providing the ability to synchronise email, contacts and calendar over the air with your Exchange mailbox.
NOTE - this form of synchronisation is an Exchange ActiveSync connection and does not use the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. It is still possible to manage email and PIM data stored on a BlackBerry Smartphone (activated against a BES server) from the PlayBook via the BlackBerry Bridge application.
To set up an email account, open Settings and select Accounts:

Select the option to Add new account:

Select the option to add Email, Calendar and Contacts:

Type in your email address and password, then tap on Advanced Setup

Select the option to add a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account

Complete all required fields.
Enter a description for the account, this can be anything meaningful to you to identify the email account.
The Domain field will be the same as that used when you log into your Windows PC, if you have one. Your IT department can provide this information.
Your username and password details will be the same as that used to access your PC.
The Server Address will usually be the same as that used to access your email via a web browser, in the form "mail.company.com" - your IT department can provide this information.
Specify whether your server uses an SSL connection, again your IT department can provide this information - normally this would be set to On.
Specify how often you want email to be delivered

Click Continue

Specify which mailbox folders you wish to synchronise. Click Save
Your new account is now configured and will be listed:

Your Inbox can be accessed within the Messages application:

Further settings can be accessed by pulling down the menu bar and select Settings

Including whether filed and sent messages are displayed along with emails in the Inbox, as with on a BlackBerry Smartphone:

Email signature message can be defined, as can out of office status and message:

All mailbox folders are accessible:

When composing a new email message, contacts in the Global Address List can be searched for, again in the same way as on a BlackBerry Smartphone:

Additional email accounts can be configured by running through the same process. Accounts can be removed within the Settings --> Accounts page.

Password
Whats happens when you change your login password? is the information auto-configured back to the blackberry device or do you have to change the account settings when you change your login password.
Admin
Once the password is changed within Active Directory, the client settings will need to be updated. On the PlayBook you will be prompted to confirm your details as soon as they are no longer valid, you can correct your password here and won't need to adjust them again until the next change of password
