The BlackBerry Bridge software is a free application for either BES or BIS-enabled BlackBerry Smartphones available for download from the AppWorld, which enables you to pair your PlayBook via Bluetooth to manage your email, contacts and calendar (and BlackBerry Messenger) data directly from the tablet.
The application, once installed on the Smartphone, is launched from the home menu:

If Bluetooth is not enabled on the Smartphone, you will be prompted to enable it. Once enabled, select the option to Add New Tablet, the following screen will be displayed:

On the PlayBook, launch the Settings display, by tapping on the cog icon in the top right hand corner of the home screen, and browsing to BlackBerry Bridge. If Bluetooth is not turned on you will be prompted to enable it:

And then the pairing wizard will be displayed:

Select Setup, the following screen will be displayed:

Enter a friendly name for your PlayBook to identify it to you and tap Next. The following screen will be displayed:

Ensure that the Bridge software is installed on the Smartphone and tap Continue. The following screen will be displayed:

On the Smartphone, select the option to Continue and point the device camera at the barcode displayed on the PlayBook screen. The Smartphone will retrieve the device details automatically:

The PlayBook will now display a passphrase on the screen:

which you should enter onto the Smartphone when prompted:

Once the passphrase has been entered successfully the pairing process will be indicated as having been completed successfully on both the Smartphone:

and the PlayBook:

You are now ready to access your Smartphone's data from the PlayBook.
