This is not a new tool, but I've only just come across it so thought I'd share it with you. The purpose of this tool is to identify and export the root certificate of the Certification Authority (CA) that issued the SSL certificate to a Microsoft Exchange Server.
You would use this tool if you'd assigned a self-signed SSL certificate to an Exchange Server, and needed to manually install the corresponding CA certificate onto a Windows Mobile, Nokia Mail for Exchange, or similar client device to enable Exchange ActiveSync functionality.
This tool, when run on a machine on the LAN (or ideally on the Exchange server itself), will identify the root certificate and export it in CER format, enabling you to copy it to all required client devices.
Browse to http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2008/05/18/sslchainsaver-v2-... for more information.
For information on how to configure Exchange 2003 for Server ActiveSync access with a self-signed SSL certificate read this article - http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/configuring-exchange-2003-activesync-usi...
