The Pro+ features Motorola's own user interface "skin" overlaid on the Android platform, providing the usual multiple homescreens and quick access to important information, applications, contacts and hardware controls. Motorola's own homescreen calendar and email widgets are scrollable, providing full access to upcoming events and mailbox messages with no need to access the application itself for viewing information only.
Social network updates can be displayed on the homescreen automatically, and hardware elements such as WiFi and Bluetooth can be enabled and disabled at the touch of a button with no need to scroll through the Settings menu

As always, a wide range of additional widgets can be added or downloaded from the Android Market.
One new feature is the ability to arrange applications in the App Launcher into groups, for ease of access:

The File Manager application allows you to manage the documents, music, images and all manner of files stored both on the device's internal memory and SD card. Shared drives can also be searched for and accessed via WiFi:

GoToMeeting
Available for download from the Android Market, the Citrix GoToMeeting client is pre-installed on the Pro + for convenience. Online meetings can be accessed directly from a link in an email or calendar appointment.
Audio can be accessed using the device's built-in mic and speakers via the Internet. Your audio can be muted at the touch of a button to eliminate background noise while on the go.
Visual meeting content can be zoomed into by up to 200% by pinching the screen, and can be viewed in either portrait or landscape modes.
A list of meeting attendees can also be viewed.

Tasks
The Tasks application provides the ability to create and manage to do items, with deadlines and tags for categorisation:

Quickoffice
The Quickoffice software, preloaded on the Pro +, provides the ability to view, edit and also create Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents on the fly, and also view PDF documents.

The calendar client supports a number of advanced features including free / busy lookup of attendees when creating meeting requests, the ability to forward meeting requests and propose new meeting times to received requests.

These conference call details can be added automatically to emails and meeting requests as required.
Additional "nice to have" features include the ability to automatically create a contact group from an email with multiple recipients.
The Phone Portal is a feature which allows you to manage your phone from your computer via WiFi, using the Pro +'s built-in web server. Connect the Pro + to an available WiFi network and launch the Phone Portal application, the device's IP address will be displayed on the screen:

Now connect to this IP address (on the specified port) from a PC connected to the same wireless network from within the web browser, you will be able to manage a number of aspects of the Pro + directly from your desktop or laptop:




The Pro + is DLNA-certified, enabling you to share photos, videos and music with any other DLNA-certified equipment, be it a television or Windows Media Player 11 on a PC

As with previous Motorola Android devices, the Pro + features a battery saver utility which enables you to disable hardware elements automatically outside of core working hours to preserve battery life
