The Explorer is HTC's entry-level Android model aimed at the budget end of the Smartphone market. Running the latest version of HTC's Sense Android "skin" it provides a streamlined user interface with all of your important updates and applications available directly from the lock screen, but featuring only limited hardware specs. The Explorer supports the POP and IMAP email standards, recognising a number of common email providers automatically making setting up your email a simple matter of just entering your email address and password.
Exchange email accounts are also supported, enabling you to synchronise email, contacts and calendar with a Microsoft Exchange server:

Connectivity

The Explorer can be used as a portable WiFi hotspot, enabling you to connect up to 5 WiFi-capable devices simultaneously and share the device's high-speed 3G cellular connection to the Internet. Connections can be encrypted for security.

The Explorer can further be used as a USB modem on Windows and Mac, or can share the Internet connection of a Windows or Mac PC when connected via USB in Internet Passthrough mode.
